Distilled Sounds offers a variety of recording and production services with a specialization in mixing and engineering/production for singer/songwriters.
Mixing: Send your multi-track files or stems and I can get your song(s) mixed and ready for a variety of media types and services. I employ a hybrid mixing approach for most projects. Tracks are are summed through an analog mixer and processed through a hardware mix bus and upon request can even be mixed down to 1/2″ tape. Basic mastering is included and I also have a relationship with a dedicated mastering studio in Nashville for continuity on extended or long play releases.
Recording & Production: The studio room at Distilled Sounds is designed to be a playground for singer/songwriters to be a creative and nurturing space where their compositions are realized. I have a full complement of acoustic and electric guitars and amps, to create just about any sound. Our mic locker is filled with high quality units to capture the best sound possible. Clients also have access to an acoustic baby grand piano, and a full range of percussion and synthesizer equipment. I am a singer/songwriter myself, so am adept at capturing great sounds and performances from my clients.
Song Collaboration: I have been writing songs and playing guitar for over 30 years. I am well versed in playing in a variety of genre’s including rock, alternative, folk, pop, and country. If your song needs a little extra something to make it pop, I can help you shape the sound and enhance it. I also have a pool of local musicians that are available should you need instrumentation that I cannot provide myself.
